Chris Morris is the Managing Partner of Board Veritas. He is a Transformation Architect, designing and implementing frameworks and solutions that empower organizations to enhance governance, leadership, and impact by blending private sector rigor with nonprofit insight.
With over 35 years of cross-sector leadership experience, Chris is recognized as an energy catalyst in organizations, transforming complexity into clarity and driving sustainable change. His approach centers on designing and implementing frameworks and solutions that reposition boards as strategic assets while providing executive coaching that empowers leadership teams to achieve breakthrough results.
Chris brings methodology mastery as both a Balanced Scorecard Pioneer—participating in an exclusive collaborative with founders Norton and Kaplan—and as an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) Practitioner. His work focuses on two complementary approaches: transforming governance into a strategic growth engine and developing comprehensive planning frameworks that ensure organizational alignment. These methodologies consistently deliver measurable improvements in board effectiveness, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Committed to community service, Chris currently serves as Chair of the Audit and Compensation Committees for Blue Dolphin Energy and Vice Chairman at C.S. Lewis Institute. This firsthand board experience enhances his advisory capabilities with organizations undergoing critical transitions.
Chris joined Board Veritas in 2019, bringing executive experience as COO at Bonaventure Realty Group, where he managed a $450 million merger. His background includes serving as Vice President at Freddie Mac, directing initiatives that boosted minority homeownership, and as President of MPact Partners LLC, providing advisory services to underserved communities.
Chris holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Stanford University. His unique combination of cross-sector experience, financial expertise, and governance knowledge makes him an invaluable advisor for organizations seeking transformational change and lasting impact.
